Explore the beauty of nature through paint during this fun, outdoor art experience with Kristin of Purple Paintbrush LLC. Learn simple acrylic painting techniques to break a scene into shapes, layers and colors, with an emphasis on creative interpretation rather than perfect realism. Working from a real outdoor view in the park, teens will build confidence in composition, color mixing and brushwork while creating a finished landscape painting on an 11x14 canvas to take home. No prior experience is required — just curiosity, imagination and a love of art. Please dress for the weather and bring a water bottle.
FIRST-TIME REGISTRANTS: If you are a Centerville/Washington Township resident, please enter Dayton as your city when creating an account. The system WILL NOT recognize you as a resident if you enter Centerville or Washington Township as your city.

Please note: This program may need to be adapted for inclement weather and participants should wear clothes that can get paint on them as acrylic paint does stain!
Program cancellations made seven days prior to the start date will receive a full refund in the form of household credit or refund to the original payment method. Those cancellations made less than seven days prior to the program date will be offered a 50% refund in the form of a household credit. Cancellations made during or after the program are not eligible for a refund. Exceptions to this policy can be made at the discretion of the Program Manager.
