Participants will explore the art of clay sculpting while creating whimsical forest critters resting on a natural-textured base. Using simple hand-building techniques and sculpting tools, artists will learn how to shape and add detail as they bring their imagination to life. Kristin Bailey from The Purple Paintbrush will provide 2 lbs. of clay and educational guidance to encourage the creation of curious foxes, slow-moving snails, gentle turtles or a creature all their own!
Please note: children younger than 8 can sign up to attend with a parent or guardian to assist them with the project. Adults can sign up on their own as well!
FIRST-TIME REGISTRANTS: If you are a Centerville/Washington Township resident, please enter Dayton as your city when creating an account. The system WILL NOT recognize you as a resident if you enter Centerville or Washington Township as your city.

Location: Activity Center Community Room, 221 N. Main St.
Note: Pieces will be glazed the same day and fired in a kiln off site. Pieces will be ready approximately 3 weeks after the program. Participants will be notified by email when they are ready to be picked up.
Program cancellations made seven days prior to the start date will receive a full refund in the form of household credit or refund to the original payment method. Those cancellations made less than seven days prior to the program date will be offered a 50% refund in the form of a household credit. Cancellations made during or after the program are not eligible for a refund. Exceptions to this policy can be made at the discretion of the Program Manager.
