Commit to helping wildlife in your own backyard! Families will receive a kit and learn how to provide food, water, shelter and space to our local insects and birds. Families are encouraged to certify their backyards as an official habitat through the National Wildlife Federation. Families will receive native plants in addition to other supplies. This is a Tools to Trek program. Dress for a mess!
Note: A 5x5-foot outdoor space is recommended. You can also place elements in different spots in your yard if you are unable to have one patch with these dimensions.
FIRST-TIME REGISTRANTS: If you are a Centerville/Washington Township resident, please enter Dayton as your city when creating an account. The system WILL NOT recognize you as a resident if you enter Centerville or Washington Township as your city.

Wear clothing that can get paint-y and dirty.
Items included in the kit:
Large pot and base (water source)
Native plants (Full Sun, part sun)
Food Source/feeder
House/Shelter for wildlife
Each registrant receives 1 kit. 1 kit per family is recommended but you can register additional family members to get multiple kits.
Program and camp cancelations made seven days prior to the start date will receive a full refund in the form of household credit or refund to original payment method. Those cancelations made less than seven days prior to the program date will be offered a 50% refund in the form of a household credit. Cancelations made during or after the program are not eligible for a refund. Exceptions to this policy can be made at the discretion of the Program Manager.
