This session will include an introduction to First Aid on the trail including hygiene and dressing for cold weather followed by a 1.3-mile hike to practice new skills. Erin Compaleo, Assistant Director, Outdoor Recreation at Wright State University will lead the informational overview. Participants should wear closed-toed shoes.
All women are welcome to attend these donation-based events. Donations of gently used camping gear are greatly appreciated to connect women from difficult life situations with the joys of outdoor recreation and the supportive community that comes with it.
Hope Wanders was born out of a deep commitment to helping survivors of abuse reclaim their lives and discover the strength within themselves. Jessica Urton, the founder, envisioned a sanctuary where women could find solace, courage, and community in the great outdoors.
