Note:

Location: Forest Field Park 2100 E. Centerville Station Rd

Staff will be on-site to help with setting up tents beginning at 5:30 p.m.

This program is weather-dependent. Storms or excessive rain/wind will require us to cancel. A weather call will be made Friday, August 2 at 4:00 pm. Refunds will be issued the following Monday if the event is canceled.


More information will be emailed to you as the date approaches.
Rules
o Please clean up after yourselves
o Respect Quiet Hours
o Children must be supervised by their adults
o Children will not be allowed around the fire without their adults
o Please return any borrowed items you may have used from the Park District to the staff leaders.
o Respect Nature. All our parks are also nature preserves. Please do not pick plants or bother wildlife.
o Respect the directions and safety guidelines communicated to you by the staff.
o No pets at the overnight, please.
Suggested Items
o Flashlights (flashlights and head lamps with a red setting attract fewer insects)
o Insect repellant
o Food (the Park District will supply s'more supplies only, but you are welcome to use the grill at the shelter or make other food at the fire pits. The only restriction is no a peanuts and tree nuts in these spaces.)
o Water Bottles for your family. We want to keep garbage to a minimum and will not be providing cups at this event. Water fountains are available at the shelter and restrooms and we will have ice water jugs for you to fill your bottles. If you forget, don’t worry. We will have a small supply of water bottles for you!
o Chairs
o Blankets
o Tent
o Sleeping bags
o Pillows
o Cell phone-if you have a smartphone, you may want to download a free star chart app to help you as your family surveys the night sky.
o Books
o Star charts
