Grant Park - Nature Fire Circle

Fire circles are available for reservation at Grant Park and Bill Yeck Park. Fire circles may be reserved beginning April 1 for the current year.

Firewood is provided with a permit. Please do not leave a fire unattended. Extinguish fire completely before leaving the area. Fires are forbidden without an approved permit.

Rain dates will not be reserved. If you must cancel your reservation, you will receive a credit on your Park District account if the cancellation is made at least 24 hours in advance.

4. All litter must be placed in containers provided or carried out of the park.

5. Parking is limited to designated parking areas only. VEHICLES ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE PARK OR TO CROSS THE CREEK.

6. Permit is for stated times only. The park must be vacated at the designated time on the permit.

VIOLATION OF THESE OR ANY PARK RULES OR REGULATIONS MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF FUTURE RESERVATION PRIVILEGES.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols:
• Stay at least six feet apart from other participants. Do not make physical contact with others (such as shaking hands or high fives).
• Wear a face covering when a distance of 6ft cannot be maintained.
• Avoid touching posts, tables, benches, etc.
• Wash your hands thoroughly or use hand sanitizer before and after the program.
• Always remain apart from other participants, including any necessary gathering before and after, as well as stretching.
•Do not exceed state-mandated shelter capacity


DO NOT PARTICIPATE IF YOU
• Are exhibiting any symptoms of the coronavirus. According to the CDC, people with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported — ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. These symptoms may appear 2 – 14 days after exposure to the virus: fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell.
• Have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
• Are a vulnerable individual. A vulnerable individual is an elderly individual and/or an individual with serious underlying health conditions, including high blood pressure, chronic lung disease, diabetes, obesity, asthma, and those whose immune system is compromised such as by chemotherapy for cancer and other conditions requiring such therapy.
